Over the past few years, we have gained valuable insights into packaging and transport. We have stopped using bubble wrap plastic for two main reasons: a) for the sake of our planet, and b) because it does not effectively protect the boards. What truly safeguards our boards is a sturdy cardboard box with additional cardboard around the rails. The only plastic we use is a piece of polyethylene foam, which protects the nose and tail from impacts during transport. Unfortunately, transport companies often overlook the ‘FRAGILE’ sticker.

NO INSURANCE for shipments within the European Union (by truck overland)

We have discontinued insuring single board shipments because insurance companies often find reasons not to pay out. However, 99% of our boards arrive in perfect condition! In the rare event that a board arrives with a ding, we aim to provide a quick solution.

Even if the external packaging appears intact, your surfboard may have been damaged in transit. You have two options:

1. If the ding is small and you prefer to repair it and keep the board, we will cover the repair costs.
2. If the ding is larger or you prefer not to keep the board, we have an agreement with the transport company to return the board to us for free. To ensure this happens, it is extremely important to inspect the box upon delivery. If you notice any damage, ask the driver to note it – otherwise, we lose the chance to take the board back!

In case of damage, please take photos of the board’s damage as well as the external and internal packaging, and send them to us immediately.

WITH INSURANCE for shipments outside of the European Union (by airplane)

Even if the external packaging looks OK, your surfboard may have been DAMAGED in transit.

You MUST open the box and check the board’s condition BEFORE signing the delivery note. If the product is found to be damaged after the courier has left, we can’t claim insurance.

If the courier will not wait while you examine the board for damage, instruct them to make this note: “GOODS PENDING TO BE CHECKED.”

This gives us 24 hours to make a claim: please report the case immediately.

In the event of a damage claim, please take photos of both the board damage AND the external and internal state of the packaging. Keep all the original packaging until the courier returns to check the damage and/or until the claim is resolved.

For shipments outside the European Union, you will automatically receive a tracking number sent to your email. For orders within the European Union, we have to send the tracking link manually, which may occasionally be overlooked. Please feel free to send us a reminder if you would like to track the status of your order!

Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to making a purchase.
